| Subject: Repairing my credit .... and it sucks! Wed 14 Jan 2009 - 7:23 | |
| . I have been online fixing all the screw ups the three major reporting agency's have in their records.
They don't update anything until you buy their services.
Ever since I started getting into buying foreclosed houses, it's been a battle to get all my old life straightened out.
Right now I'm trying to buy an apartment building while trying to use my first house as collateral on a home equity loan.
My bank and many others won't let my have the credit I need since I have never needed any. I don't have any mortgages or revolving credit accounts (credit cards). The fact that I had just paid off my child support to the tune of $14,934.76, doesn't seem to matter. I have one phone bill that went bad from 3 years ago (I forgot I had it) for $34.00 that is holding back my otherwise perfect score of NO credit ... LOL!
I have two of the three agencys straightened out, but that damned Equifax is a pain in the butt! They are out sourced to other english speaking? but without english accents. VERY HARD to understand! Alot harder than you Brits figuring out what the hell I'm talking about half the time (visa-versa) LOL!
I just wish I/we hadn't gone so nuts when we got big checks in here in the past. We would spend too much on things around this house (toys) when it could have gone into buying a another house.
I have been watching this apartment build for many years now and in the last year to today it has dropped to a third of the price. We took a look at the insides on Monday, two of the units in this four unit apartment, are only a day or two of work away from being rented. The two upstairs apartments are needing a bit more work but not out of my expertise or sense of reality to be readied to rent. One nice thing is, it has a small room that is plumbed and ready for a few coin operated washers and dryers!
I just don't want to miss out on this just because of a $34.00 mistake I made many years ago!
Anywoo ... I hope your days are going well! . | |
